Work Experience : Worked for four years in semi-conductor industry. Was involved in design of SoCs. Possess good analytical skills required for my job. Twice won prestigious annual award for bringing projects to my division of the organisation. Was involved in training new employees and travelled to different centres for knowledge transfer. Worked in large global teams and was the point of contact between the client and the team members who worked under me.
Additional Information : Got married and moved to U.S. last year. Had to resign from job because of the move. I have been associated with an NGO which works with village women for several years. I have also been associated with a Netherlands based NGO which works in India. Not having a regular job I volunteered to work in vllages for the NGO. I went and lived in one of the poorest villages in India for three months and worked with the women there. My assignment was to work and live with these women and gather information so that our NGO can make a more informed dicision as to where the funds should be allocated. Have several interesting stories from this experience.
Extra-curriculars : Interested in literature of different parts of the world. Have founded a book club and deep interest in philosophies of Ayn Rand and Doestoevsky. Have done a six month course in French and scored excellent marks. Have translated several French pems in English. Travelled widely in US. and India. Was the president of the mess committee in under-grad. Was also a member of the organising committee of tech-fest in under-grad.
I wish to go into general management and continue in the semi-conductor industry.
I wish to know if I have any shot at H/S/W. Also I am interested in Chicago Booth and Kellogg. What do you think are my chances in these colleges?
Do you suggest any other colleges where I have a good shot?
