School visits and info sessions

Hi Linda,

Out of H/S/W/Chicago/Columbia, which schools care the most about whether I have visited the school, going beyond the official statement that school visits do not factor into admission decisions.

Is there a difference between info sessions and class visits as only info sessions seem to be offered during summer and class visits do not start before R1. Thanks.

I know of no difference in the way these 5 programs view school visits.

The difference between visiting when you can attend a class and when you can't, is during the former period you can talk to current students and sometimes recent alumni, attend a class, and get a better sense of the program.

Obviously, if visiting later isn't feasible, make the most of what you can do and try to talk to current students either through your own network or by attending receptions and school-sponsored events.
