harvard seems to like sons and daughters of owners of manufacturing units. i wouldnt rule it out.

If they are significantly wealthy families, sure (and wealthy not just by Indian standards, but by any standard). But if it's a small family business - no.

Thank you Alex for your evaluation.

My point is if I am spending so much time and money for an MBA, I want to add another 30-50k to it and do it in a good school.

Can you elaborate on why "Columbia, Booth, Kellogg and Sloan" are a strech. I am much intersted in Booth and Kellogg.

As far as H/S/W -- these are great brands and I just want to submit a competetive application. As ashaker pointed out, I was hoping my profile would fit in these schools - especially because I have worked on our expansion.

Also Alex, should I apply to schools like Cornell, Darden -- just as safety schools?
