If you want to stay in the US then a stem course would be the way forward.

Welcome to GMAT Club manpaslop!

It really depends on how you are feeling. From what I have seen, most have been choosing higher ranked MBA programs and playing it risky.

Obviously if you are choosing between two top 20 or top 30 programs and one has STEM, it is better. However, I believe the reason most folks who have a choice between a Top 30 and a Top 20 program for example, choose the Top 20 or Top 15 is low unemployment (they are hoping it lasts for a while), extra cost of STEM, extra time that it takes to get and disrupts the employment cycle (e.g. depending on how the program is structured and if you need to extend your graduation date, you may miss all on-campus recruiting), also on-campus recruiting and higher-ranked brand assists a lot better with internship and job search (which usually results into a higher starting salary and better employment options), better education and value of the brand as well as better alum network, bragging rights of Top 20 or Top 10, and on and on..... finally, just good old gambling on the H1B lottery.

You can visit the https://gmatclub.com/forum/admitted-whi ... hoose-192/ Forum to see some of the STEM vs. No STEM choices people have made.

P.S. some schools allow to get an additional degree that allows to be a STEM qualified - I believe Ross has something like that (it is not a STEM MBA but there is a masters you can tuck on for an extra year and $50K)
