hi - this is how i approached. hope it helps
1. segregated since implies that the something has been segregated since centuries which wouldn't make sense logically. you are talking about a specific period of time so "segregated for" is preferred.
2. discriminated against is the right idiom. just saying discriminated is a bit vague. consider: "they are discriminated" vs "they are discriminated against". latter implies that that there is discrimination against a group.
