IMO D - took me approx 1min 20 secs..

i.
Meaning Error - Which after the comma refers back to media now if we read this sentence after the comma it states that the media has called the company slow and its management inept - however the next part of the sentence states that MEDIA has made the CEO issue a press release which is incorrect. As the CEO has done it in his own wisdom .
ii. Also i had read it on one of the forums that GMAT considers it awkward to use string of relative clauses eg. "______that suggests that the ______"
- Due to the above two errors i had eliminated B.C) The C.E.O. has issued a press release, in response to constant criticism from a section of the media calling the company slow and its management inept,
stating that the company was growing
equally fast as its rivals. -
Again a couple of errors here as well -
1. The easier one to spot is Equally fast as its rival which we had even spotted in option A. We prefer as fast as.
2. Stating is a Gerund and it will refer back to the entire clause before the comma. Which makes no sense as the CEO had done press release and not the Section of Media.
