Certainly, this argument content is unusual, but the pattern of the argument is not new.

First, this is an assumption question, not a weaken, or an inference question. I agree with OA even though I chose B.

D and E are certainly wrong.
In A, Lefty should eat something different before his next game and see how he pitches. -> first, there is only one game to know whether the theory is correct. Secondly, the theory about last games, not the next game, leading to elimination of B.

I am confused between A and C.

Why isnt option B correct? Lefty can collect data on his dietary habits to see if it correlates with his games, no?

Can experts please explain how is C better than B? B covers a larger dataset to test Lefty's theory.
