The argument above is flawed because the author concludes that Jones is best qualified to be the new president on the basis that no other candidate for the position has her unique set of qualifications, meanwhile the argument clearly states that each candidate proposed for the position has a unique set of qualifications. This implies that the fact Jones has a unique set of qualifications is not advantageous since we don't know the specific set of qualifications to enable us to evaluate them against those of others. This is because each person has a unique set of qualifications, hence the conclusion above is flawed. Option C states that the argument seeks to distinguish one member of a group on the basis of something that applies to all, and this is exactly the flaw in the argument above. C is thus the correct answer.

C. The argument says each candidate brings different sets of skills. Then it goes on to say that Jones has a unique set of skills.
But that is also the case with the rest of the candidates. So it tries to apply to jones capabilities applicable to all the candidates. Good.
D. There is no example provided, nor is there any universal claim.
E. The argument doesn’t refer to the group of candidates as a whole. It describes qualities possessed by each. The uniqueness of jones applies to each of the individual candidate, not the candidates as a whole.
