Anything that provides more information about this year's performance being sub-optimal and not showing true potential, although better than last year's.

B. Football critics are often wrong in their predictions- Challenging the premise- INCORRECT

Last year, JM performed poorly and was severely criticized. OU's performance was worst in the history of the championship.
This year, OU is winning many more games but is still being criticized. Critics are doubting JM's capability despite increase in his average number of goals compared with last year.
The apparent paradox is OU despite winning many more games this is still being criticized.
