I believe in this question we need to prove why the survey's result was accurate. The passage implied that participants didn't know much about product B.

So basically we need to find an answer that directly negates that implication (as all the info in the options are assumed to be correct).

This makes option A the only correct choice.

can someone please explain this? as per the paragraph, the result of the survey mentions that people were not very familiar with product B which states that there was little basis for the choice. would this not make option 'D' the more appropriate choice?

thank you :)

Hello Priya,

Here is my thought. Say per option D, 51% is the share of Brand A and the rest is B. The question stem also says that " However, the same survey found that many respondents were unfamiliar with Brand B ". In other words, we can say that they chose brand A over B as they are not familiar with B and 49% is a significant number to not to get unnoticed. That is the particular weakness in the option D as it strengthens but not "most". I hope this helps
