This question is just about doing careful Arithmetic and remembering what makes a number "bigger" or "smaller" compared to another number.
First, let's take care of the Arithmetic:
(-2) + (0.5) = -1.5
On a number line, since we're ADDING +.5 to a number, the total moves to the RIGHT (so we're moving from -2 to -1.5).
Next, the question asks for the LEAST integer that is GREATER than -1.5
Again, we can use a number line. Numbers become greater as you move to the RIGHT. The first INTEGER to the right of -1.5 is -1.
