Tricky one ! Got stumped !

Quote:
A corporation triples its annual bonusto 50 of its employees.What percent of the employees’ new bonus is the increase?

The highlighted part is irrelevant to this question...

Let earlier bonus be 1
Increased bonus will be 3

Net Increase will be 2

Quote:
What percent of the employees’ new bonus is the increase?

\(Required\)\(%\) %= \(\frac{Increase}{New Bonus}\) x \(100\)

\(Required\)\(%\) % = \(\frac{2}{3}\) x \(100\)

\(Required\) % =>\(66 \frac{2}{3}\)%

A corporation triples its annual bonus to 50 of its employees. What percent of the employees’ new bonus is the increase?

A. 50%
B. 662⁄3%
C. 100%
D. 200%
E. 300%

Dear Moderator ,
Since the OA is 66\(\frac{2}{3}\), it is hard to find the OA since option B looks like \(\frac{662}{3}\).
Couldn't it be better to represent it in a more clear way? Hope you will look into this . Thank you.

Abhishek009 hello :)

can you pls explain why my solution is wrong,

let x =10

50*10=500 total bonuses

increase =30 *50=1500

so percent increase (1500-500)/ 500 *100 = 200%

i picked D :?

Dear please check this line

Quote:
What percent of the employees’ new bonus is the increase?

Here the number of employees , ie 50 has no role to play, just ignore it and solve...
