If the average (arithmetic mean) of n and 11 is equal to 2n, what is the average of n and \(\frac{13}{3}\)?

(A) 4
(B) 8
(C) 11
(D) 14
(E) 19

n +11/2=2n
n=11/3

n+13/3/2=3n+ 13/6

-substituting value of n
we get average of n and 13/2 =4

Correct ans:A

n+11/2=2n
n=11/3

Now substituting it
n+13/3/2=?
11/3+13/3/2 = 24/3/2
Ans= 4(option A)
