Let the number of days of typing required to complete the task be x.
So 80x are the total pages as she is required to type 80 pages a day.
She could type only 60 pages per day and is left with 2000 pages to type in the last 10 days translates to
\(60(x - 10) + 2000\)
The total pages will remain unchanged in both scenarios and hence we can solve for x by making the equation..
\(80x = 60(x-10)+2000\)
\(80x -60x= 2000 - 600\)
\(20x = 1400\)
\(x = 70\)
So she has been typing for x - 10 days already or 60 days.
Hence Option (B) is our choice.

required number of pages to type regularly: 80.
actual performance = 60 per day .
Days left : 10
work left: 2000.
estimated work for 10 days: 10*80 =800 pages.
It means 1200 pages are extra. this 1200 pages are accumulation of 20 *number of days. 20 pages were gap on regular basis.
20*number of days = 1200
Number of days : 1200/20 = 60.
The best answer is B.
