This is a very typical question on arithmetic sequences that should be mastered.
First, we find the effective range of this set. It is just 30 to 50 since both endpoints are even and included.
To find the sum we use Sum = Average * (# of terms). Because the set is an evenly spaced one, the median is equal to the average. Median = (30 + 50) / 2 = 40 = Average.

Finally the sum is 40 * 11 = 440.

funny thing that I struggled on those in the past because I was actually writing down the numbers, now I can do them in 15 seconds lol.

find all even numbers between 50-30 you will need this formula -> (50-30)/2 + 1 = 11
For the sum you then need -> (50+30)/2 = 40

Multiplication of both leads to 440

What is the sum of all even integers between 30 and 50, inclusive?

A. 640
B. 540
C. 480
D. 440
E. 240

We can use the formula:

sum = avg x quantity, so we have:

sum = (30 + 50)/2 x [(50 - 30)/2 + 1]

sum = 40 x 11 = 440
