He has spent 55% of his income. The remaining amount (45%) will be less than 50% i.e less than $125. Only Option A satisfies this condition.
Method 2:
% of income remaining on other expenses = 100 - 20 - 25 - 10 = 45
45% of 250 = \(\frac{45}{100}* 250 = $112.5\)
