Let initial portfolio is 100
25% increase-> new value =1.25*100=125
20% decrease ->new value=0.8*125=100

Option C is the correct choice

Dealing with percentage question: Let's take the original value to be 100.

Stock portfolio increased by 25%: \(\frac{125}{100} * 100 = 125 \)

Then decreased by 20%: \(\frac{80}{100} * 125 = 100\)

What percent of the original value would your new stock portfolio have - Convert into expression

x% * 100 = 100

=> x = 100%
