Since a/18 is odd, therefore a= odd multiple of 18, (18*1), (18*3), (18*5)...... etc

18=\(3^2*2\), so a^2 will have maximum 2 powers of 2.

\(a^2\)/18, will not be even only if the denominator has 2 powers of 2.

Of the answer options only 12 satisfy the above condition.
