Change the time unit to hours by dividing 50 seconds by 3600, we get t = 1/72 hour.
As trains are moving in the opposite direction we will be adding up the speeds of the train = 90+54 = 144
Now S=D/T
144 = D/ (1/72)
D = 2 ;
Now to find time when moving in the same direction. Subtract the speeds 90-54 = 36
S=D/T
36 = 2/T
T = 1/18 * 60 *60 = 200 seconds
Change the time unit to hours by dividing 50 seconds by 3600, we get t = 1/72 hour.
As trains are moving in the opposite direction we will be adding up the speeds of the train = 90+54 = 144
Now S=D/T
144 = D/ (1/72)
D = 2 ;
Now to find time when moving in the same direction. Subtract the speeds 90-54 = 36
S=D/T
36 = 2/T
T = 1/18 * 60 *60 = 200 seconds

Relative speed of two trains moving in opposite direction = 90+54 = 144 kmph = 144*(5/18) = 40 m/sec
the distance travelled in 50 secs at this speed = 40*50 = 2000 meters
i.e. Length of both trains = 2000 meters
Relative speed of two trains moving in Same direction = 90-54 = 36 kmph = 36*(5/18) = 10 m/sec
Time to Overtake the good train = time to travel Distance of 2000 meter (length of trains) at 10m/s = 2000/10 = 200 seconds
Answer: Option C
