Let's solve this question by Multiplication factor (MF)
Let the total quantity be x
9L is withdrawn so MF = x-9/x
Milk(initial) * MF = Milk(final)
(9% of x) * (x-9/x) = 6% of x
9 * (x-9/x) = 6
x = 27
Hence, B

Hi Bunuel, can you please send me list of similar questions.
It will be really helpful as I am only struggling in this type of question in mixtures.
Thank you in advance.
Bunuel
A vessel is full of a mixture of milk and water, with 9% milk. Nine litres are withdrawn and then replaced with pure water. If the milk is now 6%, how much does the vessel hold?

(A) 18 litres
(B) 27 litres
(C) 36 litres
(D) 40 litres
(E) 45 litres
