If x represents the units digit of the number above, what is the value of x?

(1) The number above is divisible by 9.

(2) The number above is divisible by 12.

IMO answer is D

(1) The number above is divisible by 9. Sum of all the digits must be 9. By adding all digits we get 28+x. We need '8' to make it divisible by 9. Sufficient.

(2) The number above is divisible by 12. It must be divisible by both 3 and 4

To be divisible by 4 the last two digits must be divisible by 4. Si can either take 0 or 8. However, it must also be divisible by three, x can only take '8' as the value to have have the sum divisible by 3.

I think you missed the possibility of last digit being 4 too.
If it is divisible by 4 the unit digit can be 0,4,8
Though it does not have any effect on the final outcome.
