VeritasPrepKarishma is the answer C?? Shouldn't it be E.

The answer has to be (C)

Volume = Height * Length * Breadth

Height of R1 > Height of R2

Also, both R1 and R2 have the same perimeter of the base i.e. they have the same sum of length and breadth. The product is maximum when length = breadth. R1 has length = breadth (since it has square base) so the product Length * breadth will be more than or equal to the product of length and breadth of R2.

In any case, R1 will have higher volume.

Sufficient.

Please see my explanation above.

Please remember "if a rectangle and a square have the same perimeter, the rectangle must have a smaller area"

So R1 has Larger area as well as larger height. So,its volume shall be larger...

Hence C

I) not sufficient as only talks about height .not abt area.

II)not sufficient talks about only area not height .but it provides info that square area is always greater than other one means A1>A2

Combining we can say we got all info
C
