(1) Height of R1 is twice the height of R2.

(2) R1 has a square base of perimeter same as the perimeter of base of R2.

St 1. Height of R1 twice that of R2. St1 does not talk about base areas. Hence Insuff.

St 2. R1 has square base of perimeter same as R2 ( whose base may or may not be a square). St2 doesn't talk about heights. Hence Insuff.

1+2 together. We can have two bases with same perimeter having different areas.

for ex. T1 base = square of side 3. perimeter = 12 & area = 9. T2 base rectangle with sides 5,1. perimter = 12 & area = 5.

So insuff.

Statement 1: we got that height of R1 is greater than R2. But no other info about base. hence insufficient.
Statement 2: We have given that perimeter is same for both rectangular tank & R1 is square base.

We know that  "if a rectangle and a square have the same perimeter, the rectangle must have a smaller area"

Now two case arises a) R1 has square base & R2 has a rectangular base. The R1 base has more area than R2.
b) Both R1 & R2 are square . Base area of R1 & R2 are same. 
but no info about height,

Hence Not sufficient.

Combining we get, H1>H2 and either A1>A2 or A1 = A2.

Volume : V1 = Height * Base Area
hence it is clear Volume of R1 is greater.

Answer is C

The answer has to be (C)

Volume = Height * Length * Breadth

Height of R1 > Height of R2

Also, both R1 and R2 have the same perimeter of the base i.e. they have the same sum of length and breadth. The product is maximum when length = breadth. R1 has length = breadth (since it has square base) so the product Length * breadth will be more than or equal to the product of length and breadth of R2.

In any case, R1 will have higher volume.

Sufficient.

II)not sufficient talks about only area not height .but it provides info that square area is always greater than other one means A1>A2
