Now 11+17=28
Therefore X & Y are 11 & 17, product= 11*17=187
Sufficient
Statement 2 is redundant as we already know that X & Y are greater than 7

X * Y = ?
(1) Sum of X and Y is 28.
X + Y = 28.
X and Y have to both be prime and both be two digit numbers. 11 and 17 are the only prime, double digit numbers that add to 28.
Sufficient
(2) Both X and Y are greater than 7.
We already know X and Y are prime and double digit, so this does not give us any additional information.
Not Sufficient

What is the product of two prime numbers X and Y, which are both two-digit numbers?
(1) Sum of X and Y is 28.
(2) Both X and Y are greater than 7.
Question is not clear! if one assumes that question is dealing only with 2 digit prime numbers, then answer is A otherwise answer would be C.
