From the first statement I can create equation:
\(5(x+4)-9=\frac{(x-9)}{5}\)
\(5x+20-45=x-9\)
\(4x =-9+25\)
\(4x=16\)
\(x =4\)
SUFFICIENT
Statement Two IS INSUFFICIENT illogical if John is 4 older than Bill, how can Bill be more than 9 years older

J = John, B = Bill
Given: J = B + 4
(1) J - 9 = 5*(B - 9), substitute the value of B here, we get,
J - 9 = 5*(J - 4 - 9). From here on, we can solve to get value of J. Hence sufficient.
(2) Given that B > 9, we get, J - 4 > 9 or J > 13, but can't find a specific value for J. Hence Insufficient.
Option A
Given: J = B + 4
(1) J - 9 = 5*(B - 9), substitute the value of B here, we get,
