9 consecutive even integers is 0, is their sum 0??
How can that be possible, lets take some cases
-2 0 2 4 6 8 10... here it will be a No
-8 -6 -4 -2 0 2 4 6 8, here it will be a Yes
So something with 0 in center,No of positive terms = No of negative numbers, can help us in getting the answer.
I. The greatest integer is 8.
Sufficient as per the above explanation.
II. The smallest integer is not -8.
It can be any series here. I believe this is also Sufficient to answer the question, that is the sum 0 or not

I don't think this DS problem is correct, because of statement 2.
In any DS problem, if statement (1) gives you the correct answer “sum = 0,” as is the case with statement 1 of this problem, then statement (2) cannot say “sum !=0” and still be correct. Essentially, if we know for sure that statement 1 is correct, then statement 2 cannot contradict the final result of statement 1 and still be correct.
I would like if anyone confirmed if this is true.
