About a month back i took my GMAT and got a dismal 650.:(
I was scoring above the 650mark on an average in all the MGMATs and the GMAT Prep.On top of that I forgot to check my Quant score when the scores got displayed.I was so disappointed by the 650 that i did not even bother looking at it.
I saw my VA and it was 30,which is really poor as I was constantly hitting the 37-38 mark in all the prep tests. Now,judging by my score of overall 650 and VA 30 can someone here please tell me approximately how much I could have got in QA.A range would also help me a lot as I would then be able to figure out how badly i performed on Test day in QA.
I know its a very strange request, but would be of immense help to me.
Thanks!

Easy! Just google "GMAT 650 V30" and you'll see a range of reported quant scores from 47 to 49. Bring your real verbal up to 37 or 38 and you'll be hitting around 700.

That's a great idea!Thanks!
Will it look it up on google!Lazy me! Should've googled first!

I did score 650+ in all the 6 Manhattan CATs except 2(590 and 620).And in almost all those I went past 35 in VA.
Can u please tell me the usual difference in scores between the GMAT score and the simulated MGMATs.Wanted to know if it was a case of bad test day for me. :?

Have you considered if the issue lies with your stamina or timing? For me what I find is sometime I will be able to hit 680 - 700 while other times I can only hit 620-650 and those days are the days where when I get to the verbal section I am really tired.

Hi Rujuta,

I have to agree that it's a good idea to review your previous practice exams and determine if you had any timing issues on some of the easier quant questions. Based on what you've shared, you sound comfortable with most of the concepts, but the only way to know for sure is to dive back in to your previous practice CATs and look for patterns in your test taking. If you're struggling most on the "easier" quant questions, perhaps you're rushing through reading them or even making silly mistakes that are holding you back.

I would usually ask if you've taken a full practice exam, but based on the fact that you're about to dive into AWA, I would assume not (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). If this is the case, I'd strongly suggest taking a FULL practice exam to truly understand where your strengths and weaknesses on the exam are, which will allow you to hone your study plan to attack those areas.

Best,
Rich
