Hi adityanarayanan01,

A score goal of 600+ is relatively modest, but nobody here knows you well enough to say for sure whether 45 days will be enough time for you to improve to that level or not. Given the study materials that you already have and your timeline, I suggest that you study as you see fit for the next week, then take a new FULL-LENGTH CAT (with the Essay and IR sections). You shouldn't necessarily expect to score that much higher after 1 week, but that score result will help to show if your current approach to studying is leading to any measurable improvement. We can then talk through any potential adjustments that you could make to your study routine.

Hey adityanarayanan01,

It looks like you need a study plan that you can stick to. With 45 days to study, here is a customized one month study plan that can help boost your score: https://www.gmatpill.com/gmat-practice-t ... study-plan

Use this as a guideline. You don’t have to follow it exactly but the structure of the study plan should be the same structure that you take in your approach. This helps to optimize your retention and learning.

As you study, we recommend that you focus on one particular subsection for multiple consecutive days before moving onto the next. You can see this in our study plan where we recommend 5 days on nothing but SC -- before moving onto CR and then RC.

Here is a sample SC video to help you start your journey: https://www.gmatpill.com/sentencecorrect ... ythons.mp4

Best of luck - we are here to help.

Dear Bill,
This study plan is very good indeed. Also please direct me towards a sound GMAT retake strategy.. I feel I'll get to the targeted score in my second attempt or further. Also another issue I faced during practice test is exhaustion. The 8 min breaks weren't enough to mitigate the exhaustion (both physically as well as mentally). Can you please help me out on that? Focus and concentration was waning during the mock CAT.

please revert and lots of regards.GMATPILLBILL

Hi Aditya,
How about taking some GMAT course from one of the course providers as you really need a guidance and also to stay motivated, if you can afford? Look at them in Course Reviews section that which one you may like and also which may suit your budget.

I had been studying for GMAT on my own around 2010-2011 and wasn't that bad but ended up not taking it because I lost the motivation and now if I look back I should've taken some course program.

This forum is full of resources, if you get stuck on some concepts just ask here and everyone will try to help you in his/her own way.

Just my 2 cents :) Hope you achieve what you are aiming for.

Hey adityanarayanan01,

Glad to be of assistance. We recommend that you train in both spurts and long stimulation -- think of it as preparing for a marathon.

Eat and sleep well -- make sure there is complete darkness when sleeping, etc.

Practice maintaining focus and switching between various question types without rest.

Start in small chunks and eventually get more comfortable with longer periods.

Best of luck - we are here to help.
