I gave GMAT (1st attempt) on 12th August'17. Honestly I do not know what to make of it.
Here is the score break-down : 660 (Q40,V41)
I started studying seriously for GMAT about four months back. I gave equal importance to both quant and verbal, since in the beginning of my preps I understood that I was rusty in both the sectors. On the GMAT Prep Tests I was scoring between 660 - 690. The confusing aspect of my GMAT score is that in the GMAT Prep tests I was consistently scoring 49 on the quant section and 33-35 on verbal, but on the GMAT test I ended up scoring very less on quant and fairly good on verbal. Hence I am confused about the reason/reasons behind such a drastic change in scores from GMAT prep to the real GMAT.
I worked equally hard on both verbal and quant, made an
error log and revised the concepts consistently.
During the test I opted for the following sequence : Verbal - Quant - IR - AWA
I knew my verbal section was going well since I was getting pretty tough CR and SC questions.
After giving a lot of thought, I understood one reason behind the dip in quant score : Mental Fatigue. I was not able to focus even on the easy questions.

In my job, I work at sea for 28 days and get off for 28 days. Studying while I am on the rig is a bit difficult due to a rigorous routine. I am able to study for 6-8 hours a day when I am home, but I believe more focus and a better plan are required.
I wish to retake GMAT, in order to get a better score, because I am targeting B-schools like INSEAD, HEC Paris, LBS, and some other schools in the same league.
My query: Even though one thing is very clear to me - I need to improve a lot on my stamina, I am unsure how to do it.
Moreover I am also considering going for an online coaching session in order to learn better and quicker techniques of solving questions and to get ample number of full length tests to practice and build up my stamina.
I would really appreciate if someone can:
1) Advice me on how to improve my quant performance under pressure
2) Advice me on how to improve my stamina
3) Point me to a good GMAT Quant book/online tutoring, that can help me get a better hold of the concepts and help me improve my timing per question
I am planning to re-take GMAT in mid October.
