Can you please help me with my profile
Details are as follows:
Indian Male, Mechanical Engineering Degree Holder from University of Pune, India with a CGPA of 6.73
GMAT 740 Q50V40
Work Ex: 6+ years running family owned manufacturing unit in India
Currently have over 150 employees in 3 different units, I am managing one of the units.
Increased the monthly production from 600 pcs/mnth to 800 pcs/mnth and the turnover of the unit by 26% after taking over the reins
Expanded the company product profile to include 17 new items
Led the team of developers in manufacturing Oil-Rig Chucks becoming the first manufacturer in India to do so
Introduced smart manufacturing techniques and new fixtures to reduce rejection rate by 40%
Designed and successfully manufactured heavy duty boring jaws for BHEL and L&T, leading engineering houses of India
Chief fund raiser for Zindagi Live Foundation- a local NGO working for welfare of kids with thalassemia
Post MBA Visions:
Short Term plan is to join the ambitious Pathways Operation Management Program
Long Term plan is to join any Top Manufacturing/Service Company as Operations Manager/Head
Can you please suggest suitable operations minded schools for me and evaluate my profile accordingly for them.
I had shortlisted Kellogg, Haas, UCLA, Sloan, Smeal and ISB

Hi, and thank you for writing! You have a solid profile (with progressive work experience, good academics, and solid extracurricular involvement), and while the schools you've listed (particularly Kellogg, Haas, and Sloan) are very competitive, they're not out of range for you, though they might be a reach. Just make sure that you make it clear why each program is a strong fit for you based on your research. I would also consider Michigan Ross - their Tauber Program (geared towards those with a background in/passion for Operations) seems like it could be a good match for you. I would say Smeal is a fairly safe option, and UCLA and ISB are probably more in your target zone, though they are competitive programs as well.
