Hello,
I am from India and i completed my undergrads in Engineering not from one of the Top College but from a Good Known Private College. My CGPA is 5.2/10 which as per university conversion chart converts to 60% marks. My GPA as per US standards converts to something around 2.4 if calculated from CGPA value, but using the 60% mark as standard it converts to 3.0.
Anyways, to cover-up for my academic shortcomings with GPA, I plan to take up some additional courses for additional transcripts. A few shortlisted by me are on Business Analytics & Product Management, as they relate to my MBA mission as well. I came across a couple of Instructor-Led courses by Boston University for these topics on edX.org
My concern here is that would these online courses and their credits be considered as valid additional transcripts and help me make up for my Undergrad GPA?

It is important that you illustrate to admissions committees that you have the quantitative ability to succeed in the classroom. Because your GPA is below the average, you will have to show you have this ability in other parts of your application. Your GMAT/GRE is one option, and taking additional courses is another option. Many of the schools specifically mention the courses that they recommend - so research your target schools - though most agree that statistics or calculus are two courses that illustrate quantitative ability. Ideally you can take 1-2 classes for a grade, and that you can earn an A. Additionally, there are many universities that offer these supplemental courses either online or in-person, and there are also courses not affiliated with a school, such as MBA Math.
So the good news is that you have options to show schools that, despite a lower GPA, you do have what it takes to succeed in class.

Let's look at your question from a different perspective and focus on what is it that you are trying to address and what does the admission committee really look at.
Your GPA - In your case if the GPA is on the lower end and the admission committee(adcom) looks at education qualification to check if you will have the academic potential to go through the course.
A good GMAT Score would work fix that problem.
Taking courses of EdX is good - more to have a good understanding of what you want to get into eventually and show the adcom that you are interested in product management. When you talk about your post MBA career goals (if it's product management) and back it up with certifications like these, it will help.
These courses are not really going to fix your low GPA issue. If you are aiming for top 20 schools - improve your score by another 20 - 30 points would help.
