If the employment figures for you industry are similar, then go with fit. If you were happy at both and the data is the same at both, then pick the school with less debt.

If Vanderbilt didn't stand out to you, don't waste your money.

Were you able to meet any other incoming or current students?

Mia I am on the same boat as Blair. Its more about fit at this point. Vanderbilt has a stronger network and name recognition but strict placement is similar. I would say your options are a bit better at vandy. There are some other things like professors and caliber of students around you. Those are the things I would be thinking about. But Wake is a good school no question. Hope to see you in Nashville

I'm just worried about leaving with a ton of debt. Plus with the higher caliber of students I think it'd be easier to get lost in the shuffle ("small fish, big pond"). I really liked the students at Owen, and loved Nashville, but I've read a few articles that suggest going where the money is, since the school is going to put more effort into making sure you succeed. I also got a 60% scholarship from Northeastern, and am considering going there. They're ranked slightly higher than Wake, and place a lot of their students at cpg companies in the northeast.

Not an easy decision, thanks for your input!

I think you would want to be around better students to learn from them and have contacts moving forward in your career. At vanderbilt the alumni is more prominent than a Wake. In the long run alumni connections could come into play and the 40k more you paid would be worth it. You have to look at this from a global prospective. Cost of attendance, given up wages vs career earnings. the 65k plus 120-130k in salary foregone at wake vs the 95k plus 120 -130k salry foregone ate vandy. Wake 185-195k vs Vanderbilt 215-225k. The difference just got a lot smaller but the potiental is much greater at vanderbilt. What if you get to school and want to do ib or consulting .... the switch is much easier at vanderbilt. Don't just look at the scholarship look at the whole picture. You may still pic wake or NW but think about all this not simply scholarship.
