Hi,
I’ve been accepted to IESE and HEC. Any thought of which to go for?
I’ve a background in big 4 consulting and media strategy. I am looking to do an MBA to grow my international outlook and develop my leadership skills, in order to ultimately move into a global media / tech company in a biz dev role OR move into consulting with MBB. I’m from the UK and will be working in UK post-MBA.
Which school do you think is best for me?
IESE – pros:
- Better brand?
- Seems like has strong relationships with MBB firms, with lots of alumni going there?
- Case method
IESE – cons:
- Having been in FT’s top 8 globally for last few years, has taken a big tumble in latest rankings and is now actually ranked lower than HEC
- Seems like campus is small and dated
HEC – pros:
- New campus looks very impressive
- Higher in rankings that IESE recently
HEC – cons:
- Have heard mixed reports about quality of teaching
- Seems like a slightly slower calibre of candidate that gets accepted
- The brand is not nearly as well know (outside of France)
Great to get thoughts! Thanks.
