Hi all,
I am in a unique situation. I got admitted to Tuck in early decision without any scholarship and have already enrolled. I recently also got admitted to the Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) program at MIT with a $50k scholarship. I have to decide between the two options and decide fast!
I have worked on the manufacturing shopfloor for three years in a consumer goods company and in a supply chain role for a pharmaceutical industry for two years. I wish to continue in healthcare in a general management role or a in the consulting space.
I have so far loved the Tuck experience (the community, the amazing - truly amazing - alumni network, the personalized attention, the unique location(im a wildlife and hiking buff) and its great resources in healthcare general management and consulting which would help me get where i want to be).
The LGO program feels right on all the practical prospects - globally renowned brand - more renowned in my country than Tuck, best global healthcare companies as partners of the program - hence no problem with internship and placements, a coveted engineering SM degree in mechanical engineering from THE MIT, the scholarship (its a big amount where i come from - helps me resolve a lot of personal matters at home). However, i feel it might not have the warmth of the Tuck experience (the family-like environment and personalized attention and the small town feel with the hiking options).
i feel i cannot go wrong with either on the career front. however i am stuck because of the generous schol at LGO and the overall lower loan interest rates and the lure of the engineering degree (a unique specialization)
would be great to have some advice on what could be the best choice for me.

Is Global Operations (LGO) program at MIT paired with MAB program?? or could be paired in future with MBA program in MIT?

It is actually an MIT Sloan program (I have applied through MIT Sloan). The entire MBA experience is exactly the Sloan experience. The additional master of science degree has a few courses that are mostly completed before the start of MBA program (June to August). Hence It will be referred to as MBA from MIT Sloan and SM in Mechanical Engineering from MIT (you complete the entire coursework of both program with a higher focus on the MBA)
