Hi everyone. Happy New Year! I'd like to ask your opinions on this hard choice for me. Please kindly see below context.
Background: Chinese, 10-year marketing in tech industry.
Target: Marketing or Product Management in tech companies in US
Offer: Foster with $10K scholarship vs. Simon Rochester with full scholarship
Struggle: I like Foster better for its location (despite the long rain season), close tie with tech industry and high job placement. I visited the campus a while ago and it's beautiful too. However, finance is a real challenge for me: I have a wife and a kid that I plan to take with me for MBA experience, so that means with just 10K scholarship, I'll need to prepare at least another
$160K for Foster. Simon is a decent school, and with strong reputation on Finance, but my focus will be marketing. Also, Simon's location is not as ideal as Seattle. However, the full scholarship is really enticing to me - it will help reduce the cost of MBA to
$45K, which I can cover with far less pressure.
Set aside finance, my heart goes to Foster. However, taking ROI into consideration, which school do you think is a better choice for me?
Thanks so much for your help in advance.
