Hi, I’m not an expert here, but I’ll try to give you my perspective.
I really don’t think there’s a relevant $$$ difference here. MIT gave you 10k extra, but the school costs a little bit more than Kellogg. And even if you consider living expenses of 3 extras months in Evanston, it would mean only 5-10% of a typical total mba cost. I would’t choose for money.
For your career goals it seem to be equally great schools as well.
MBB- both are great
Design consulting - Kellogg slightly better
VC - maybe equally good, maybe MIT is slightly better bc of the greater contact with start ups (I’ve been reading about this career path too and some people say that it’s extremely difficult to go to VC if you are not from GSB or HBS, not sure if that info is correct).
If you are international (and thinks about staying in US), a relevant advantage of Kellogg MMM is the possibility of visa extension due to the STEM degree.
If you are from US, I suggest you to choose the culture you like best. Both schools are great, just pick the one where you will have the best 2 years experience.
