I can't speak to Haas, but at MIT Sloan the amount of cutting edge biotech startups you can connect with is crazy.

Boston has a ton of world class hospitals and you'll be in touch with them. Look up MIT Sloan's Healthcare Club and talk to some people there. But honestly if founding a healthcare start up is your plan - go for MIT.

Thank you all for the insightful comments!

To your questions bb, indeed my goal is a mix of these:
1) I want to develop my entrepreneurship skills and get exposed to startups - from what I have heard and researched both programs are amazing in this
2) I want to deepen my healthcare knowledge - MPH and Sloan Healthcare certificate are both great
3) I would love to meet potential co-founders
4) I aim to have a long-term network, as well as a great brand on my CV - again, MIT is really strong in Europe but the MPH would also give a lot of credibility

And last, but not least, I want to have fun :)

Re debt, good point, although Haas did offer me a significant scholarship so that would still make that the cheaper option.

supercorn1: this is very valid. On the other hand, I know the MBA/MPH students get a lot of help in connecting with Bay Area biotech/medtech/health tech startups.

I'd appreciate more viewpoints/experience from others too!

Hey marcus19, congrats on the two amazing offers!

With regards to the brand of parent schools - both MIT and Berkeley are strong brands globally and maybe MIT is slightly stronger in Europe as is Berkeley in Asia BUT neither Sloan nor Haas are known as much as their parent institutions, very few business schools are recognized globally, even Yale SOM would sound sexier because of Yale name as opposed to Booth/Kellogg, which constantly rank higher than Yale SOM. So in your case perhaps sticking to real values you want to get out of this experience is more important than the brand. Unfortunately can't speak about the MPH part (lmk if you want to connect to current MPH students) but generally you're right about what Haas could offer you.

Best of luck!
