Hello everyone,
I have received offers from UNC Kenan Flagler for a 50% scholarship and Simon Business School for a 50% scholarship too. I am confused as to which one to choose. I do not have a previous business background, the only experience being my minor during undergrad. I have been working in the education field for almost 7 years. After some time I decided not to continue in education.
I know that UNC is a Top 20 program but at the same time, I have heard very good things about Simon. I am thinking of going into Corporate Finance but my mind is pretty open to exploring different things. Also, UNC has very good placements, better brand recognition. But Simon is cheaper. I am trying to see if the extra cost is worth it.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. And, I am not an international student.

UNC.... while Simon is a finance school, I am not hearing much about it. You said you have heard good things - where?
Also what’s the cost differential?
And finally, did you happen to mention to Simon about your KF scholarship? May be worth approaching them about it as they are likely to bump it up. Have you seen my post about scholarship negotiation?
