UNC.... while Simon is a finance school, I am not hearing much about it. You said you have heard good things - where?

Also what’s the cost differential?

And finally, did you happen to mention to Simon about your KF scholarship? May be worth approaching them about it as they are likely to bump it up. Have you seen my post about scholarship negotiation?

I have heard different good things regarding Simon from current Simon students. I have reached out to various current students. I know that this might be a bit bias but that is where I have heard about it.

The cost difference is about 20k (not including living expenses and personal expenses).
And no, I have not mentioned the scholarship to Simon. Would you be able to provide the links about your negotiation tactics? That would be awesome!

UNC KF for sure here. I’m sure Simon is solid but you just don’t hear about them too much, or recruit with them or run into a lot of Simon grads. UNC is a stronger program, T20 and better alumni network and on campus opportunities. Research Triangle is also a better location than Rochester. Since money is similar for sure choose UNC.

Thank you o much for posting Shruti0805!
Really great to see someone from Simon!

It has been a pretty popular school lately. I have another person looking for tips!

Hey,

I know its late but let me know if you would like to discuss. I am a UNC 2020 graduate and have few friends from Simon. Both choices are decent but it would depend a lot on your post-MBA career plan. If you do not have that ready yet. Go for UNC
