Hi everyone,
I got a couple of offers from schools and the two that I am thinking about the most are ESSEC Master in Finance (I got the excellence scholarship) and the LSE Master in Finance and Private Equity. (I'm still waiting for an answer from HEC - EDIT: I got in!!!!)
I have never really liked London but the program itself seems great! My friends are doing the MSc Finance there right now. I have very little info on ESSEC such as how many classes I would be taking, details about the classes themselves etc. I would need to do 2 years at ESSEC compared to 1 at LSE, and I would choose 1 year in Cergy (6 months internship included) and 1 in Singapore.
I don't really know where in the world I would want to work, preferably Europe, and for now I wanna go into PE, preferably VC.
I know French but I would say on a B1 level (if not A2 as I didn't use it for ages).
Which school should I choose? Is LSE more recognizable in the world? Is ESSEC recognizable to employers outside of France? If I'm not fluent in French is it a bit useless to go to ESSEC? Is ESSEC more "practical" than LSE as it is a business school? Does anyone have any experiences related to the quality of life in Cergy compared London? Job-wise... which school will be better?
(EDIT: adding in HEC into this consideration)
I will take any advice/info!
Thanks!
