Hello
ChrisAngel1322,
I hope you are doing well. I understand your concern about your GMAT score for the Master in International Finance at HEC Paris.
Applying with your 660 GMAT score:HEC Paris explicitly states they have no minimum GMAT requirement. Their focus is on a holistic review of your entire application. Your score is below the average, but the median is just a reference point. Many successful applicants may have scores lower than 710.
Stronger academics can compensate: Your 3.7 GPA is good and could help balance your GMAT score.
Work experience and achievements: Highlight your professional experience and any relevant achievements in your CV and essays. This can showcase your capabilities beyond test scores.
Retaking the GMAT:Improvement potential: If you can consistently score significantly higher (e.g., 700+), it could strengthen your application. But keep in mind the effort and stress involved.
Time pressure: Since applications open in September, retaking may not be feasible due to score report processing.
Retaking the GMAT carries risks if you don't significantly improve. Applying with your current score allows you to focus on showcasing your other strengths.
Best of luck with your application!

Hello guys,
I would like take some advice from you regarding my GMAT score eligibility for entering the Master in International Finance at HEC Paris. Back in October 2023, I scored a 660 GMAT score (Quant: 48, Verbal: 32, IR:5, AW: 6). I have been informed about the fact that the average GMAT score for the specific program is 710, so this is why I am concerned about my score. However, I believe that my other educational assets are at satisfactory level, as my GPA is 3.7 . Therefore, I am concerned about whether I should apply for this program with my current GMAT score or try to achieve a better score. I am planning on applying for MIF at HEC Paris in the coming September. For any advice, I would be grateful. Thank you!
