Hi I just got accepted to the RSM Master in Management (MScBA), and I was planning on also applying to INSEAD, ESSEC, Imperial, and LBS. Now that I have one acceptance, I'm thinking of not applying to ESSEC anymore. This would be to save money on the application fees, but also just time and effort into another application in a short period of time.
My top choice is definitely LBS, but in a scenario where I would only get into RSM and ESSEC I think I'd lean towards RSM (although I don't know loads about either). ESSEC just seems super France-oriented, and haven't gotten the best vibes from the minimal webinars I've attended. I haven't attended anything for RSM so don't really know what to assume. Is the ESSEC MiM a lot better than RSM, or would they be roughly comparable in terms of their quality and post-grad outcomes? Just not sure if I'm being silly by scrapping ESSEC!
For reference, I'm EU (and settled status in UK) so visa-related things won't be an issue for me. I'd most likely look for jobs in London post-grad (probs consulting).

Congrats again on securing RSM !!!! it's a strong, practical program with solid European networks and good employment outcomes. For your focus on London consulting, the current landscape shows a clear hierarchy among your targets. LBS stands out as a top-tier option with excellent UK/London recruiter access and prestige. INSEAD delivers elite global mobility and strong consulting pipelines. Imperial offers good quant/STEM strengths but sits in a mid-tier spot for pure MiM prestige. RSM provides reliable Dutch/European ties but generally ranks lower in global MiM comparisons
A proper deep dive into its placement data [For ESSEC & RSM ] is definitely worth it for a fair comparison especially since the program [ESSEC] isn't as France-oriented as it might first appear. The Intensive Track is offered in both Singapore & France, and requires prior professional experience (typically around 12 months). If you're targeting UK jobs, UK-based schools like LBS naturally give direct recruiter proximity, though strong European programs can still open those doors effectively through networks
The pattern of grabbing one acceptance and then casually dropping others to save fees and effort can come across as treating applications like a shopping list rather than a thoughtful strategy. Elite programs (LBS and INSEAD especially) value candidates who've done real research and shown clear prioritization not quick shifts based on limited exposure or initial impressions
IMO push hardest on the highest-impact options while keeping quality backups viable
