I was thinking we were comparing the number of 133 billion with that of last year and chose A.

I wonder now if "more than" were" higher than" maybe the answer would be A

Any thoughts, guys?

B must be right as exports are plural and we are comparing exports of 2010-11 with those of 2009-10. Those refer to exports..c, d and e are wrong cuz of "it".

In the financial year 2010-11, the increase in demand due to the relatively stable economy after the recession increased India’s service exports to $133 billion, nearly 38 percent more than that of 2009-10.

A. that of 2009-10
B. those of 2009-10
C. it did in its 2009-10 exports
D. those of its 2009-10 service exports
E. it exported in 2009-10

Why is A wrong .
That can also refer to plural nouns .
Please explain ?

Nope, that cant refer to plural nouns..it should be "those" that can only refer to plural nouns if plural verb comes after "that" for example: the houses that are red
