'those' refers to 'bebop and swing'. Past perfect is used correctly to show that the influence occurred before the band earned the title.
B. primarily because of its history of jazz, especially bebop and swing, and the influence those styles have had - Tense error.
C. primarily because of their history of jazz, especially bebop and swing, and the influence those styles had - Pronoun error. 'their' does not have an antecedent.
D. which was based on its history of jazz, especially bebop and swing, and the influence those styles have had - 'which' incorrectly refers to the 'City of Music title'.
