The original sentence uses the correct idiom “to consider X Y” and draws a logical and structurally
parallel comparison between two nouns: “a trend” and “a sign.”

(A) CORRECT. This answer choice is correct as it repeats the original sentence.

(B) This answer choice uses the unidiomatic construction “to consider X as Y.”

(C) This answer choice uses the unidiomatic and redundant construction “to consider X to be
Y.”

(D) This answer choice uses the proper idiomatic construction “to consider X Y” but introduces
the plural pronoun “their,” which illogically refers to the plural noun “analysts” rather than the
company.

(E) This answer choice uses the unidiomatic construction “to consider X as being Y.”

Consider X,Y is a correct Idiom. So B,C,E out. Now between A and D ,D has a problem of pronoun their which is meaningless because Upward trend can not increase liquidity of the marketing analysts.
+1 for A

Hello, shivamlohiya007. To use their, the sentence has to refer back to a plural entity, and the singular article a in a firm's current ratio indicates a singular entity, a firm. Thus, we would have to heark back to the only plural noun in the sentence, analysts, to find the proper agreement. However, replacing the pronoun with its logical referent makes no sense:

Many financial analysts consider an upward trend in a firm’s current ratio a sign of analysts' improving liquidity.

Analysts are improving liquidity? If the original sentence used the plural firms instead, as in, an upward trend in several firms' current ratio(s), then you could make a legitimate case for their in reference to firms. But of course, the GMAT™ makes sure to steer the test-taker into a single correct line of thought, so we can only speculate on other potential sentences.

I hope that helps. Good luck with your studies.
