Okay this one took me 1 min and 10 seconds. No fancy calcs or hit and trails here.

I read the stem and saw the options. If he runs, the most he can do is 30 miles (but then he will have 0 miles on cycle which based on options is off limits), the lowest we have is 10 miles but then that means he spends less time running (which as per stem is off limits).

So now we have running at 20 miles i.e. 2 hours gone and rest 1 hour cycling i.e. 20 miles. Hence B it is.

Brian is planning a training session for his upcoming triathlon. He has 3 hours free on Saturday, and he is planning on running and cycling. Brian runs at a constant rate of 10 miles per hour and cycles at a constant rate of 20 miles per hour, and he wants to spend more time running than cycling.

In the table below, select the number of miles that Brian can complete running and cycling for a total of exactly 3 hours, assuming that he can switch from one activity to the other instantly.
