Drop-down 1:

Count the number of pairwise comparisons won by each commuting method.

Subway is preferred to each of the other 5 methods, so it has the greatest number of wins.

Bus is preferred to car, bicycle, walking, and rideshare, but not to subway. Thus, bus has 4 wins, the second-greatest total.

Therefore, the correct selection is  Bus .

Drop-down 2:

We need a method that satisfies two conditions: it must be preferred to  bicycle , but  walking  must be preferred to it.

Rideshare is preferred to bicycle. When rideshare is compared with walking, however, walking is preferred.

The other methods that beat bicycle are also preferred to walking, so they do not satisfy the second condition.

Therefore, the correct selection is  Rideshare .

From the diagram, we can see that subway is preferred above all followed by bus and then car. So, second number is bus.

And, from the diagram only we can see that rideshare is preferred over bicycle but not over walking.
