(1) b > 0 and a > 4
(2) 4a – 3b = −1

Is a^2 > 4a - 3b?
Is a^2 - 4a + 3b > 0?
(1) b > 0 and a > 4. Since a > 4, then a*a > 4*a, so a^2 - 4a is positive, hence (a^2 - 4a) + 3b = positive + positive = positive. Sufficient.
(2) 4a – 3b = −1. The question becomes is a^2 > -1. The square of any number is more than or equal to 0, thus the answer to that is YES. Sufficient.
Answer: D.
Is a^2 - 4a + 3b > 0?
(1) b > 0 and a > 4. Since a > 4, then a*a > 4*a, so a^2 - 4a is positive, hence (a^2 - 4a) + 3b = positive + positive = positive. Sufficient.

St 1 -> b>0 & a>4 ;
a^2-4a = a(a-4) --> This is greater than zero. -3b is also greater than zero as b>0. Hence sufficient
St 2 -> 4a-3b = -1 ; a^2 is positive and has to be greater than zero. Hence sufficient
