A certain cube is divided into n smaller cubes. What is the perimeter of one side of one of the smaller cube, in inches?
So we require to know the side of the smaller cube
(1) n = 27
Nothing about side
(2) The volume of one of the smaller cubes is 64 cubic inches.
volume = side^3=64=4*4*4, so side = 4......
Therefore, perimeter of one side = 2(4+4)=2*8=16

This question is wrong. It does not say that the cubes are equally divided. If the cubes are equally divided, then it is B. Otherwise, if the cubes are divided differently, then it is E.
