After solving all problems from the OG, I felt confident about doing far better than I had done previously. But, I didn't want to waste my free GMATPrep test 2. So I decided to retake test 1.

The results were demoralizing. After more than 3 months of prep [though it consisted more of solving questions than learning concepts], my scores were not that good.

Results - 02 February 2016 GMATPrep 1 Retake - Overall - 710 Q50, V36, IR8

After this disappointing progress, I felt that I should buy some study/strategy guides. So I bought Manhattan Verbal guides [I was satisfied with my quant scores]. These study guides came with 6 months access to Manhattan's CATs.

So after studying/going through these guides, I took Manhattan's second test.

Results were again disappointing, but this time in Quant.

27 February 2016 Manhattan 2 Overall - 650 Q43, V36, IR3.8

I went through some posts which mentioned that Manhattan's Quant questions are more difficult than those of the Actual GMAT. So I ignored the drop in Quant and took Manhttan's test 3.

Results : 05 March 2016 Manhattan 3 - Overall 690 Q47, V37, IR6.5

After this, I got free access to eGMAT's verbal scholaranium. So I took the opportunity and utilized it to the fullest and completed all questions within 3 weeks time. I now felt more confident in Verbal and my timing improved drastically [or eGAMT's clock is slower].

Either way, I decided to hold on to my MGMATs and focused on other free tests like the ones available on Babson, GMATPill etc.

Results:

25 March 2016 Babson Overall - 730 Q50, V41, IR -
26 March 2016 GMAT Pill Overall - 720 Q49, V40, IR4

Babson [or should I say, the Economist] did not give me one score. It gave a wide range - Overall 730 - 770, Quant 50 - 53, Verbal 41 - 45. So I have taken the lower one. [Is a score greater than 51 even possible ?]

So overall progress till now:

Quant - Hovers around 49-50 [Except for some outliers]

Verbal - 32 -> 34 -> 36 -> 36 -> 37 -> 41 -> 40

Looks like my Verbal score is slowly but surely improving, while Quant is quite stable at the 49-50 level.
