Well, guys, I did it. I managed to have my test revoked before even seeing a single question.
I was scheduled to write the GMAT at 6:30 p.m. so I checked in 30 minutes early, as per Pearson's recommendations. Once I checked in, I saw my webcam was on and recording, and underneath it was written something along the lines of "if your face isn't seen on the webcam your test can be revoked." I realized I was under exam conditions 30 minutes before I was scheduled to write it. This would have been fine, except my girlfriend was in the bathroom and to walk from the bathroom to the bedroom, she would have to walk past the desk where I was writing the exam. #$@&%!!!!!
Sure enough, she walked past at 6:07 - 23 minutes before exam time while I was still reading through Pearson's terms and conditions - and the proctor revoked my exam. I pleaded with her to let me write it. If I had known I would be under exam conditions the minute I checked in, I OBVIOUSLY WOULDN'T HAVE CHECKED IN UNTIL SHE WAS OUT OF THE BATHROOM. But it didn't matter and I was booted from the exam.
I'm waiting now for a case number that I can refer back to when I call Pearson and beg them to let me write it again. Wish me luck, everyone. Don't make the same stupid mistake I did.
