I have just received a virtual interview invitation(It is made up of prerecorded questions) for a masters program I have applied to about 3 weeks ago. Is this a nice way of rejecting me? The reason I ask is because I live only 4.5 hours away and could travel. Thanks.

I can't imagine that they set up a virtual interview program just to be nice to the people they are rejecting. Although it's unconventional I'm sure it doesn't say anything negative about your candidacy.
